Guided Tours Israel - Top Quality Tours at Affordable Prices!

We have included below a very partial list of the sites that are available on a private tour of Jerusalem.  If this is your first time to Jerusalem, there are some places which you simply must visit, and we will make sure to take you there.  If you have been to Jerusalem before, we can show you many hidden gems that you may not know about from previous visits.

Some of the holiest sites to the three monotheistic religions are found within the confines of the Old City Walls. A walking tour along the Old City walls begins at Jaffa Gate, going clockwise towards Lion’s Gate; or counter clockwise, ending at Dung Gate.

There are so many wonderful places to visit in the Old City that you can spend a week just walking within the city walls.  The world famous attractions are of course the Via Dolorosa, the Holy Sepulcher, David's Citadel, the Arab Market and the renovated Jewish quarters. There is also the underground Herodias mansions where you can walk through the old city by the Zion Gate to see David's tomb and the room of the Last Supper.

But the most recognized sites of the Old City are probably the Western Wall (wailing wall) and the (golden) Dome of the Rock.  The Wailing wall is the last remnant of the ancient Jewish Temple that stood here over 2000 years ago and the holiest place for Jews. Only a portion of the Western Wall is visible above ground: the entire length can be explored via underground tunnels (an unforgettable experience).  Above and to the east of the Western Wall is the magnificent Dome of the Rock.

In the New City you can explore the charming neighborhood of Yemin Moshe and the Montefiore Windmill - a famous Jerusalem landmark. The beautiful YMCA and famous King David Hotel are nearby. The pedestrian Ben Yehuda Street is lined with cafes, shops and restaurants. The nearby Nahalat Shiva Street is a charming focal point for Jerusalem’s nightlife.

The Shrine of the Book, a twenty minute drive from the city center, exhibits the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Discovered in 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls date back to the pre-Christian era, and are thought to represent the earliest version of the Old Testament.

On the western outskirts of Jerusalem is the charming village of Ein Kerem, with narrow cobblestone streets, cafes, and art studios. Nearby is the Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center with its famous Chagall Windows. These sublime works of art represent the twelve tribes of Israel and were given as a gift to Israel from the French Master Mark Chagall.

Just north of Ein Kerem is Yad Vashem Museum, a memorial to the victims of the Holocaust, with impressive architecture, scenic views, and memorial halls.

No Holy Land tour is complete without the spectacular views of Jerusalem from Mount Scopus. The holy sites of the Old City are clearly visible, and there are wonderful views out to the Judean desert to the east.
